WELCOME MESSAGE OF THE MAYOR

It is my delight to welcome you to the website of the Municipality of Milagros, Province of Masbate.

This website is the Local Government Unit of Milagros’ gateway to digital success. With the shift online, our audiences can take a sneak peek of our beloved town or get a general view and information of its government processes. It would serve as the potent channel to get access to our services and electronic systems appropriately needed. Most importantly, this is the fast and easy way for us to communicate with our kahilungsod about the LGU’s programs, projects, activities and services, and extend the information beyond local borders and local viewers.

As a manifestation to demonstrate transparency, accountability and shared governance, we are launching this online space to converge our efforts and improve services in our local communities, for a BETTER MILAGROS.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The history of Milagros is one marked by a unique geography, changing territories, local migration, and political adversity, all of whose effects continue to be felt and influence the lives of its residents to this day. It has undergone a great deal of changes through the years, but all of these chapters in its history have made it the prosperous town that it now is.

By 2030, the Municipality of Milagros is the Province of Masbate’s Agro-industrial Powerhouse with God-loving, empowered, and healthy citizenry living in a progressive community with safe, resilient, and sustainable environment governed by transparent, participatory, and responsive leadership.

LOCATION

Municipal Government Center, Barangay Bacolod, Milagros, Masbate 5410

Milagros is situated south west of the capital of Masbate Province (Masbate City). Geographical coordinates of the Municipality is located between latitude 11059’ and 12020’ and longitude 123016’ and 123044’. It is bounded on the north by the Municipalities of Aroroy, Baleno, Masbate City, Mobo, and Uson; on the south by the Asid Gulf; on the east by the Municipalities of Cawayan and Uson; and on the west by the Municipality of Mandaon.
