18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW)

Today the LGU-Milagros successfully implemented advocacy campain to End Violence Against Women and Children in celebrating the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW every November 25- December 12. The activity was participated by the VAW Desk Officers, BLGU Officials and staff of Jamorawon, 4Ps Parent Leaders and 4Ps Male Spouses. The following activities are conducted: Discussions about Basic Concepts and Gender and Development, Laws Protecting Women and Children, and Establishment of Barangay VAW Desk Office. One of the highlight of the activity is the Organizing the ERPAT (Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities) in the Barangay Jamorawon. Thank you Mayor Naty Magbalon for the support in every programs to eliminate and address cases of abused to women and children. Also gratitude is given to the 4P’s Municipal Links in facilitating the activity, active participation of Barangay Local Government Unit of Jamorawon headed by Hon. Leopoldo Garra II, and Mr. Peter N.Ferraris Head Teacher of Jamorawon National High School for the conducive space for learning.
