Beach days are the best part of summer—but don’t let jellyfish crashes spoil the fun!

Jellyfish love this weather too, and they’re showing up more in shallow waters. Their stings can ruin a good beach day, so it’s smart to know how to stay safe. Here are a few quick tips: • 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵—they’ll tell you if jellyfish have been spotted. • 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻, and if the water’s super calm or clear, be extra careful. • 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮 𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁 for extra protection, especially for kids. • 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 and make sure they know not to touch anything that looks like jellyfish—dead or alive! If someone gets stung: • 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺. Most stings aren’t dangerous, just painful. • 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿(not fresh water—it can make it worse). • 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱 to gently remove any tentacles. • 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 to help with the pain. • 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 if there’s trouble breathing, swelling, or if the sting is on a child or someone with allergies. Just a little awareness goes a long way toward keeping your beach day safe, smooth, and sting-free. Stay safe, stay smart, and enjoy the waves! #𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗧𝗼𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 #MilagrosTODAY #MajesticMilagros #MilagrosMasbate
