The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of LGU-Milagros, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Natividad Isabel R. Magbalon, M.D., successfully conducted the training on “Communication, Education and Public Awareness Campaign on Basic Environment and Forest Laws, Rules, and Regulations to Barangay and Municipal Officials of LGU Milagros, Masbate Held on February 26-27, 2025, at Winters Farm, Brgy. Cayabon, Milagros, Masbate, the event brought together barangay local government unit (BLGU) officials with the goal of strengthening their role in environmental protection. This initiative was made possible through the efforts of Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer Carmen B. Cortes, EnP. The two-day training equipped 70 participants, including Punong Barangays from all 27 barangays, with the knowledge and skills to enforce environmental laws effectively. Resource speakers from the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Masbate, under the supervision of OIC-PENRO Benito M. Salazar, shared insights on sustainable management, legal frameworks, and law enforcement strategies. This training not only built awareness but also empowered local leaders to take an active role in protecting the environment, ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable future for Milagros. #zerowastemilagros #MilagrosTODAY
