The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Milagros, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Natividad Isabel Revil-Magbalon, M.D., through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) headed by Carmen B. Cortes, EnP., successfully conducted the “Palit Basura, Balyo Gamit sa Eskwela” program.

The activity was facilitated by EMS II Grant V. Espinosa, MPA, Joey Panillos, Administrative Assistant IV, and Niño S. Fernandez, under the supervision of MENR Officer Carmen B. Cortes, EnP. Students were encouraged to bring recyclable plastic waste, such as plastic sachets and plastic bottles, in exchange for school supplies.

A total of 70 students actively participated in the activity, demonstrating their support for environmental protection and proper waste management. This initiative reflects the LGU of Milagros’ continued commitment to supporting schools while promoting environmental awareness, waste reduction, recycling, and responsible solid waste management among learners and the school community.

The Local Government Unit of Milagros extends its sincere appreciation to Liceo de San Jose for warmly accommodating the activity. Special thanks are likewise extended to School Director Rev. Fr. Lorenzo V. Bautista, as well as the entire teaching and non-teaching staff of Liceo de San Jose, for their invaluable assistance, cooperation, and unwavering support in making the program a success.
