Palit Basura, Balyo Gamit sa Eskwela: Isang Hakbang Para sa Kalikasan at Edukasyon sa Milagros

On June 29, 2026, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Milagros, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Natividad Isabel Revil-Magbalon, M.D., through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) headed by Carmen B. Cortes, EnP., conducted the “Palit Basura, Balyo Gamit sa Eskwela” program. The activity was facilitated by EMS II Grant V. Espinosa, MPA, and Park Attendant II Niño S. Fernandez. Students were encouraged to bring recyclable plastic waste, such as plastic sachets and plastic bottles, in exchange for school supplies. This initiative reflects the LGU of Milagros’ continued commitment to supporting public schools while promoting environmental awareness, waste reduction, recycling, and responsible solid waste management among learners and the school community. The Local Government Unit of Milagros extends its sincere appreciation to Matiporon Integrated School for warmly accommodating the activity. Special thanks are extended to School Principal Belinda G. Arcenal, Joey C. Canaway, Teacher VI, Geraldin S. Alba, Teacher I, and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff of Matiporon Integrated School for their invaluable assistance, cooperation, and support in making the program a success. #MilagrosTODAY
