The celebration of 74th Anniversary of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bicol Region with the theme “Bawat Pamilya ay Mahalaga sa Bagong Pilipinas” held at Legazpi City Convention Center, Airport Road, Legazpi

LGU Milagros received the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) Award and Premier Partner in 4Ps Grassroot Engagement and Empowerment Award (Vulcan Award) as part of the celebration of 74th Anniversary of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bicol Region with the theme “Bawat Pamilya ay Mahalaga sa Bagong Pilipinas” held at Legazpi City Convention Center, Airport Road, Legazpi City today May 9, 2025. Today’s activity highlights the contribution of personnel and partners who have contributed in achievement of Department’s endeavour in providing social welfare and development services to the vulnerable sectors. LGU Milagros is one of the 4 municipalities in the Province of Masbate to receive such award. Also, this is the third time of LGU-Milagros to receive the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) Award audit year 2016 and year 2022 and second time to receive the Vulcan Award in supporting the implementation of 4P’s Program. Present to receive the award is the MSWD Officer, Mrs. Ruth R. Sia, RSW, Mrs. Ma. Angela M. Mabborang, RSW, SWO III and MLGOO VI Nica Angelica Luzong. Gratitude is given to all the stakeholders and Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) headed by the active and committed Municipal Mayor Natividad Isabel R. Magbalon for the unwavering support on the implementation of programs and projects to ensure that rights to protection, development, participation and survival are fulfilled by every Milagreño Children.
